153 is a great headline number but for the user there's only 55 selectable points (35 of which are cross type - yay!). The remainder appear to be assist points for tracking/zone purposes

well with cramming in 153 pints means the focus points them self are smaller so you can be even more precise on exact spot focusing. unlike how they are now where the point may be larger then the actual focus square and throws off the focus sometimes if it grabs something you didnt want

The funny thing- Nikon announced two professional grade cameras- the D5 and D500. Top of the line replacements in full frame and crop sensors. I guess no one told them it was the Consumer electronics show- or Nikon realizes what Canon doesn't- that a whole bunch of consumers with money will purchase high end photography equipment- even if they aren't professionals.

The D5 with the new ISO you dont even have to take the lens cap off, and with that many focus points you dont have to hold still. Just point in the general direction and blast away. :-D
