Hey guys! Putting together one of my first ever wedding albums and just wondering what you think about this one! It will be a 10x10 Lay-Flat album from Miller's. The attached proofs are in .pdf format. Please take a look and let me know what you think!

Heya,

I think it looks great. Good assortment. Good moments captured that show some emotion and who all was present. Reflects well to me.

I don't care for the single shots of things like John Deer logos and all that, but I live in BFE country and I know folk who just swoon for it....

Very best,

Thanks MalVeauX!

The farm is definitely a huge part of who they are, so I wanted to put that one in there for a sense of place. I will do some thinking though...maybe there's a better fit for it. Thanks for the input!

Excellent!

If I had any issues, it'd be the photo of both of them in front of the sun on the 3rd page in. It's a great shot, but falls out of the chronological order of the album. Of course, this is assuming you posted them in chronological order of how they will go in the album. The ring details page is after the back cover as well.

Maybe you could use it for the cover shot? Or swap it toward the back of the album and use a different shot of them for the cover?

The cover shot looks just a tad awkward...i think it'd make a great complimentary picture, as part of a group of photos.

Ahh shoot....Zenfolio sometimes does some funky things when sorting photos. I've got the order fixed now. Ring details are back towards the front where they belong. I apologize for the oversight. The picture with the sun in front of their faces was in the correct spot. It's not in chronological order, but I sort of wanted to start with a grand landscape...perhaps I shouldn't though?

That aside, I greatly appreciate the input. The "Cover Shot" is actually not on the cover, but on the first inside page. Does that change your opinion of it at all?? I agree that if it was the actual cover it definitely wouldn't fit, but now I'm thinking it may not be a good fit for the first page either.

The covers are plain I take it? Solid color?

It doesn't change my opinion too much...but only because my brain prefers the chronological order of events (although it doesn't have to be strictly to a timestamp order, just categorical order) type flow.

I'm sure your clients are going to swoon over the photos so much that you could completely randomize it and they won't even bat an eye at it.

Like I said before, really well done. Don't over-analyze it.

It is a leather cover with either gold or silver stamped font that will just have their names and the date of the wedding. I haven't decided what color I'm going to go with yet.

Thanks again for your help!

Doesn't suck at all. You did some good work.

The album is nice but the one thing I would say is to keep the spacing between the images consistent from page to page.

I agree with this. The photos are excellent, the couple should love them. As for the album, I would keep the page margins consistent, aside from the 2-page landscape spreads. I think facing pages are more pleasing to look at when there's symmetry.

What program did you use to make the album?

Thanks guys. I used the Millers Lab Designer+ program.

I think the photography is EXCELLENT.

I really like the book with the exception of there are TOO many expanse shots. I love expanse shots/double page shots for the wow factor they have, but too many any they loose their "punch". This book just has too many. The sun flare page 2 would go if it were me. About every 4th or 5th page is where a double page spread feels about right for me. (I'd shrink the 2 inset images on 44, they actually overpower the bottom image too much, or use a different layout so they don't actually compete with each other).
50, 52,and 54 are all full spreads one right after another, so they loose their impact for me, but that is a nit pick, on a 10x10 book they'll probably look really nice, but they won't make you go WOW as much because it is "overdone" ;)
I'm positive the couple is thrilled with the photos, I sure would be!!!
