Most interesting bit i saw is the Focus Fine tune using Live View to tune the Phase Detect AF

Well ok, BEYOND 153 point AF, which im guessing on a DX frame might cover almost the ENTIRE image field...

Hm... but its a traditional 20mp sensor? Interesting, Nikon HAD to have had a reason to do this vs the 24mp in the D7200 im guessing, which is odd, since the D7200 already had excellent IQ

Beyond that, 79 shot buffer for 14-bit RAW files, GOOD JOB NIKON! That was a HUGE weakness on the other cameras competing in the 7D class with high burst rates.

Finally a tilty-flippy touchy screeny.

Interesting, Solid offering all around, Good job to Nikon. This and the 200-500 f/5.6 make me drool.

looks like a considerable camera compared to the 7D2, a clear notch above on paper.

79 shot buffer for 14-bit RAW files,

This is from Nikons website:

Approx. 10 fps continuous shooting (up to 200 shots in 14-bit lossless compressed RAW) captures decisive, split-second moments

Interesting to see what its like in real world application

Huh, yeah ok DPReviews specs are a bit messed, i noted in the comments theres question on if it has built in flash or not (I dont think it does, it does not look like it does anyways) So yeah..

Still, 200 shots RAW? Wow. Thats VERY good

The Nikon site says there is no built in flash. Apparently the 200 Raw images is only when using the top of the line XQD cards. Re-reading it though there seems to be some conflicting info. The initial press release stated 79 which is where I assume most are getting it from but the actual Nikon site states the 200. Time will tell I guess.

Maybe 79 with SD and 200 with XQD

THat was another point of contention, Apparently some places said 2 SD slots, others said 1 SD 1 XQD

Man i feel a little out of it, ive not kept up in the last year and a half

if its a complement to the D5 then id imagine so. XQD is the sort of... i dunno.. replacement for CF cards? High speed and stuff? Right?

Nikon's share is the most susceptible to Sony, not Canon. They've been bleeding users due to the bad rep from recent camera / lens launches. Hopefully these announcements should put them back in the game.

Why would you compare a D5 to a 7D2? This totally confounds me....

Not even close in class or market.
