I hate to admit it but I have never seen a bald eagle in South Florida. I have heard some were spotted in Pembroke Pines, N Miami and Deerfield Beach. Some of the forums I visit refer to the "spot" but no specific location.

I figure this time of the year is a good time to spot one so if you know of a location where I am more likely to find one, please share.

Depends if you are sticking to the east coast, but Southwest Florida Eaglecam is on an active nest in North Fort Myers and it's easy to get legally close enough to for photography. You can always browse the website your state Wildlife people keep of eagle's nest locations.....some active, some not, but easy to sort through. There are several more active eagle nests in tall pine trees right in residential Cape Coral as well.

There is a pair nesting on an island in card sound. I often see them on the powerpoles along the 18 mile stretch. There is a pair nesting in quiet waters park, Pembroke pines and Clewiston. Everglades Nat. Park has several nesting pairs and you occasionally see them while fishing out of flamingo. The southwest coast has several nesting pairs as well

I will check out Quiet Waters Park. Where in Pembroke Pines were eagles spotted?
