I am looking for a mottled gray backdrop for corporate headshots. I ordered one recently and it was black and blue. I just want neutral gray. As I look at reviews of backdrops most are saying that they are light blue/blue instead of actual gray. Anyone have a resource for a truly gray backdrop that isn't solid color? I really only need 6x9 or so.

Mods: if this is the wrong forum, please feel free to move.

Thanks!

It has been a long time since I've used mine but I don't recall ever seeing any blue in it.

Super! It looks like ti has some variance of the gray. Is that what you remember as well? I just don't want one solid color. I can do that with what I have.

There is definitely mottling. I actually got turned into this backdrop over at strobist.com. I'm sure you will find a lot of real world examples there. It is a good item too. You'll have it for a while. I've collapsed mine hundreds and hundreds of times and it is still as new.

Actually, I've tried that. Twice. My gray looks purple which I've found is a common problem.

I ordered this since I have a couple of popups in other colors.https://www.amazon.com …8?ref=olp_product_details (external link).

If that doesn't work, I'll go with the suggestion from nqjudo.

NewCreation, check out this mottled grey background (external link). It's what I use most and it works in many different situations, particularly when I light it with colored gels.

The supplier is great to work with, by the way.
