I just bought this lens and found something not sure if that's normal or I need to return:

There are 2 rings inside the front lens, anyone has any idea about that?
I can focus and take shots but have not checked the photos on PC monitor if there is any problems.

I can't tell what you are looking at with all the extraneous reflections, but mine looks pretty much the same as yours. It works, right?

I think you may be pointing to parts of the actual lens? In any case, check the picture quality and also if anything rattles on the inside, or if anything mechanical seems weird (zoom and focus ring need to be smooth etc). If both are fine, I wouldnt worry too much.

Since the STM lenses have "focus by wire" the movement of the focus ring will be independent of the focus module internally. In somw ways this is a shame, as in this case, you cannot tell by feeling the movement if you might have a problem. At least the 10-18 is internal focusing, so the lens is a constant length for any focal distance.

Looking at that image I would think there is nothing wrong with the lens. I would suggest that the OP is seeing an internal component, or the reflection of one. Unless it is visible when looking directly into the lens along the optical axis that would always be my suspishion.

I shone a bright light in the front of mine and I can also see 2 light colored rings. It looks to me to be reflection of the optical elements or anti-flare shields in the design of the lens.

Don't worry about it.

Thank you for all your replies.
I took some shots and found no problem in the photos.
I am much relief now.
