Wasn't sure where to post this so feel free to move if needed. My father in law saw an add for the printed on glass photos so we purchased him a gift certificate. When I went to upload to the site they stated they allow up to 20mb images. When I exported my image from Lightroom the size was too small to be ideal for the image (the site stated it was small for the size were purchasing). How can I maintain my file size exporting to JPEG. I shoot RAW so file sizes are large just need to know how to maintain that size when exporting. Probably sounds like an odd question but I never print large so no clue.

In your export options, make sure you do not limit to a particular dimension or file size.
What are the pixel dimensions of your JPG files? What camera are you shooting with?

Is JPEG the only format that the company will accept?

If not, you can export in TIFF (found during Export under File Settings). TIFF will remain fairly (ok, very) large without compressing it like JPEG does.

mileslong - I wonder if maybe you are confusing MB (megabytes - the size of the digital file) with MP (megapixels - the size of the image). File size should be relatively unimportant and is pretty ambiguous as an indirect indicator about the nature of the image; but pixel dimensions are very important and it is more likely that the number of pixels is what they mean. You probably should either post a link to the site, so that others can see what is required, or contact the company to find out what the minimum requirements are for the size you want.

When you export, UNCHECK the boxes labeled:

<Resize to Fit> and <Limit File Size>

That will get you a file with the same resolution (pixels) as the original.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The site states they limit imports to 20 mb and prefer 300 dpi. It states they recommended file sizes of at least 1 mb but that it depends on size of pictures being ordered. He wants a 10"x14" so when I uploaded my file that was only 1.5 mb a prompt came up warning me that the file may be too small for a crisp image. I'm at work so can't look now but I'm pretty sure I have my exports limited to dimensions for iPad so that's probably the issue. Thanks again for everyone's replies.

10" x 14" @ 300ppi = 3000 x 4200 pixels. If you exported for iPad (assuming Air 2 and not Pro), the image is at most 2048x1536 which is roughly 1/4 of what is needed.

The great thing about LR is that you can very easily save a your output settings to make an Export Preset. This makes outputting different image files for different uses very easy. I have presets for POTN as well as many other options that I need for different clients and projects. I tend to not make Export presets for files that will be sent to the lab for printing though. For that I tend to use the print module, and make my presets there. It makes printing to a local printer, or to file to send to the lab consistent for me.
