I bought the Port A Stand from Adorama in April 2015. One of the tripods broke about a month and a half ago. I did a live chat with Adorama and they told me my warranty was with Savage and to contact them.

Someone named Rich from Savage responds to me:

"Thank you for your purchase and I'm sorry to hear about your issue.

Please contact Adorama for a replacement stand. "

I called Adorama. They told me it has been past 30 days...contact Savage because you have a 1 year warranty from them. I responded to Rich and told him what Adorama told me. The response:

"Please visit the below link to purchase the replacement parts.

I responded "Do I have a warranty or not? I would like a replacement, not to buy anything else" Rich responds:

"Jennifer,

I’m sorry but there is no warranty on this item. However please identify the part you need and I will send it to you."

Adorama says I have a 1 year warranty, B&H website for this item shows a 1 year warranty. Should I be replacing a part or should they be replacing the entire tripod?

The warranty is undoubtedly from the manufacturer, and they are trying to back out of it. Now what may happen here is that Savage wants you to send the broken item to Adorama, they replace it back to you with a new one, and they send back that unit to Savage and Savage reimburses them the cost. This model is also used from time to time, but you can discuss that with Helen. This means that Savage is expecting Adorama to check the purchase date and validate the warranty and also that Adorama is their warranty clearing house.
