wanted a second FF body to pair with my 5D2, one with MPE65, other with wide angle lenses.
6D has flash sync at 1/180 with no possibility of HSS using MT-24EX and also requires extra button press for zooming in to review images on back screen otherwise pretty familiar.

Good photos which one of the two do you prefer and why did you chose 6D as opposed to 7D MK II?

Was looking for best low noise for macro natural light work. Also FF is better with MPE65 for larger insects. 7D2 seems a good choice for sport/wildlife with its superior AF and fps.

I didn't know that FF works better with MPE65. Saying that I would love to see what happens with a blind test (i.e. where someone(s) takes photos with both and other people choose which are best). Sadly I don't have FF so I won't be doing that.

Although when I have time I will try with my Canon 550D and Canon 7D MK II.

The point is that when shooting with the MPE65 larger insects won't fit in the frame at higher magnifications on a crop camera. Nothing to do with image quality, just practicality.

turns out the first photo is of a new species for my list, Desoria tigrina and I also got a second new one with this Isotomurus pseudopalustris; so lucky new camera!

Congrats on the new camera and the new finds.
