hi guys, im new here and im happy to finaly find a place that can maybe assist me with flash issues.
i use the 430ex for a while and i have a dying 568(first version) as a 2nd flash.

i'm upgrading my equipment and i want to buy 2 more flashes.
my main job with the camera is events and weddings.

so i decided i will put the 430 as external and not on camera flash
and i need 2 more flashes, so the real question is about the main flash to go on camera.

i realy having a hard time to decide between the YN600EX & Godox tt685
and now i heared of the 568ex II
basicly i want somthing that can stand up to canon 600ex, but cheaper.

any help would be apritiated, thank you.

I can only comment on the YN600EX-RT. Initially I bought the Canon version and really liked it. Knowing what I know now I only wish I had known about the YNs before I bought the way expensive Canon. The YNs do everything the Canon does for a quarter of the price.

That being said, I'm 99% certain I'm going to be selling both of my YN600EX-RTs as well as the YN-E3-RT controller. Not because there is anything wrong with them, they work perfectly. It's because I recently picked up a Phottix Indra500TTL strobe, which used the Phottix Odin controller, and rather than buy separate Phottix triggers for each of the speedlites I'm going to replace them with something like a Mitros+ or more likely the LumoPro180R. Both of which have Odin receivers built right in.

But basically, I really like the YN600s and if I hadn't bought the strobe wouldn't even consider getting rid of them.

I had a door break one one. The power switch on another. I do not feel the TTL is that great either.

I recommend for your requirements:

5DIII + YN622C II (not the 2012 original 622C) transmitter
2x YN685C E-TTL/Manual flashes, with built-in 622 and 560(603 mode) receivers.

If an YN685 is place on top of the 622C, it will automatically change to standard mode for walk-around use. It will also work well in a Manual (560) environment if needed.

Have a look at TOYUG II - link is in my signature.

- one which? I had to patch up a 568 battery cover, until the capacitor started leaking.

The E-TTL is determined by the camera, including AFR and NEVEC protocols which give apparently variable results, The transmitting device should do just that, transmit, without altering the camera's values.

Oh, damn! I just took down my YN685 from the shelf to check the door - and it has come apart! Until this moment, it was my favourite flash.

PS: 3 bits of the sliding hooks dropped out. The sliding unlock button in the battery door has always been reluctant to release. And of course it is holiday time in China at present.

Yup . closed until Feb 14 - Chinese Spring Festival. Both Jianisi and HKYongNuoPhotoEquipment.
