I am considering a stint in video recording, but slightly worried about over exposing

I was viewing a youtube video recently, which suggested using a ND filter for stopping over exposing the composition of the recording

Can anyone give me suggestions on a ND filter to use?
Is this one an overkill in terms of price?

Hi, as no one else has bothered to reply to your question I'll give it a go.
As I understand it for video you are better to use a variable ND filter but there is a catch, the cheap ones in this instant is not the way to go. I was searching for the same question but for stills and it seems that Tiffen's Variable ND for the price is hard to beat but the price £129!!!!
There is a lot of videos on youtube about the variable ND's well worth watching.
Russ

Many Thanks,
Russell.
