So my tripod just showed up in the mail yesterday and I was so happy! Then I opened it up and that's when the issues came up. I'm sure it's a good brand and maybe mine just happened to be defective. Did a YouTube video on my initial impressions. If you all have had success with the brand and think I should try again (and go bigger), please let me know. Otherwise, the search begins.....again. :)

I just purchased a Sirui K-30X ball head and the Desmond DCF-432 legs. We'll see how that combo works out. I tried to purchase the 3LT Eric from the 3LT site, but I couldn't checkout because the 3rd party they use wasn't working for me. Oh well, I'll post another review once I get the gear in.

Nino,

Too bad to hear I just purchase a Tony from them and the reason that I wanted that one was that I wanted the larger tubing legs and only three segments with a solid center column.

Mine is working perfect and I also have one of their Sid monopods that is also heavy duty without a lot of weight.

I also have and older Giottos aluminum tripod that is nice but heavier and I like the twist legs on these tripods better than the snap lock which I had break on me with a manfrotto monopod in the field.

I've heard other people having the issue with the twist lock legs in that the insert has popped out of place and isn't able to lock.

I did have an issue with the purchase as I bought it and didn't receive confirmation and sent emails which didn't get replied to by the American group so I went to the England site and did a response from them and they were going to bend over backwards with either refunding me my money or using the money that I spent with an additional 20% off.

I've had good experience using it their products and love the airhead 2 ballhead as it locks down great using my gripped 7D II with a 70-300mmL lens.

If you are having issue with the American site go onto their England site and send them an email but they are a little slow in a response as mine took a couple of days for the response.

I hope that when you get their gear in you have a good experience with their products.

Mike

I tried it a few times and no luck. I opted for a different setup all together. I wanted the Eric because of how I could set it up as in more configurations.

I know people have been extremely happy with them. If this next setup isn't to my liking, I'll try 3LT again. Thank for for the feedback!
