Phottix Laso instead of Yongnuo as Canon RT system alternative / add-ons?

I'm just wondering how many people are aware of the Phottix Laso system, or using it. I was looking into getting one of the transceivers ($99) instead of another Yongnuo YNE3-RX ($46) because while the YN works, I'm not impressed with the build quality: I had to add a shim to the hot shoe to prevent flashes from sliding too far into it to make a connection, it doesn't have any auto-power-off or low-power idle mode like the Laso, and it overall feels flimsy, especially the battery cover.

What I'd really like to know is if the Laso units are better build than Yongnuo. Just like YN's YN-E3-RT ($80), the Phottix controller ($160) uses Canon's RT protocol, and adds red AF assist beam and 328' range. Is the assist beam better or worse than Yongnuo's? I have the Canon ST-E3-RT ($263), and it has no assist :-( If the Laso was available when I bought into this system, I'd probably have gone for it to save $100.

One thing that is a bummer, is that Phottix's own Indra TTL strobes don't support their Laso system, so you can't mix Indras into a Canon RT based system with support for TTL, HSS and remotely controlling their power. I could sell my Canon RT gear and buy fully into the Odin system (Indra plus Mitros flashes replacing my 600ex-rts), but I'd take a hit on my investment. My holy grail is a battery-powered TTL/HSS strobe that can drop right into a Canon RT setup with speedlites I already own. A Laso-receiver-equipped Indra would be just that. This would be useful because I travel light and what I often need is just one powerful main light and then speedlites for fill, hair and kickers.
