Winter at the zoo is the perfect photography time. Animals are out and alert, leaves have fallen so they don't obscure the view, and there are hardly any people there. Love winter at the zoo!

Nice, Richard! What zoo were you at that has an Okapi?

Oklahoma City. They are so beautiful and so unusual. I've tried for a couple of years to get good shots of them but they have a very large enclosure surrounded by fencing so it's difficult. Today was just right for the okapi.

I'd wanted to see one ever since I was a small child and found them in the wildlife encyclopedia my parents bought for me, but I never did until we went to the London Zoo a couple of years ago (https://flic.kr/p/bHP​6Ha)....I didn't know any zoo in the States had them.

Been in OKC for about 5 years.
