i've had them pose out in the open for me, but that's definitely the exception, not the rule! usually these little guys bounce around like feathered pinballs... god job catching this one!

Thanks. This one was working the bark on a very large tree trunk so even though it was moving it was easy to track.

Excellent shots Ken! Being relatively new to bird photography, this is the first Bewick's Wren picture I've seen. We have Carolina Wrens in our neck-of-the-woods. I had to Google the differences. Once you see them side-by-side it becomes a little more clear! I am actually picking up a new 7D2 this afternoon. Can't wait to start using it. Some of the best bird shots (static and in-flight) that I see here are taken with the 7D2. Had to have one! 8-)
