After-bath baby!

Hi Maureen! Thanks for providing an alternative PP of the image! For my taste and intention, it's too bright and the eyes too intense. I often shoot and PP to "remember" the moment. In this case, the ambient light wasn't overly bright and so as a result, my memory of the moment was a little darker (in terms of abundance of light).

Having said that, it is ABSOLUTELY possible that my monitor is too dark (I've never calibrated it beyond using the on-monitor calibration tools) and I've noticed that prints are often (always?) darker than they are on my screen and need to be lightened a fair amount. So, that could explain things significantly.

It's a wonderful picture! I think a happy medium could be found.

The original is very nice but I felt it could have been lightened also but only slightly. Maureen did a good job but the intensity takes away from the calmness or serenity of the original a little to much. This of course is personal preference.

Yes, it could be monitor difference because I actually went in & toned down the eyes & then lightened the whole thing a little. It looks the same on my iPad as it does on my PC & I do calibrate every 6 months.

Anyways, your baby is darling so keep that camera humming.
