Exposure Compensation on the 7D Mark II question.

I just got my 7D2 back fromCPS for clean/check and of course. all my settings were rest to default.

I can’t figure one thing out; on AV mode, I had it set to adjust exposure compensation when turning the multi-controller dial; but when I turn it on AV more, an “L” shows up in the viewfinder.

Any ideas?
