I have been experimenting with off camera flash. The subjects are in the wrong place imo but does the lighting work?

Not a fan of the subject positioning and focus plane selection, but I like the lighting and think it does well with both of their facial expression. I don't know if its the catch light in her eye, but makes it look like they are looking at two different things and gives her a cross eyed appearance (unless of course this what she looks like)

How does it look bring up the exposure a little?
