I don't know why I'm so surprised to see birds with leg bands and other research devices attached. Not that I'm looking for them, because they're just not that photogenic IMO. The odds seem to be against it, but they do pop up more than expected during post-processing. There was only one occasson when I knowingly took a photo of a marked bird; a snow goose with a collar. All of the other marked birds, with leg bands, were discovered during post-processing. Here's a few from January of this year. Post yours, regardless of whether you got the exposure, focus or composition perfect.
