Any opinions on which one is better between 70D and 7Dmkii? Any feedback appreciated.

Heya,

It depends on what features you need.

The 7D2 pretty much has everything the 70D has, and more.

But you're comparing two vastly differently priced cameras.

Very best,

Yea, I think it comes down to features as well. The IQ between the two is the same so it comes down to what else is important to you. AF, WiFi, GPS, tilt screen, and touch screen. If AF and GPS then 7D. If Wifi, tilt and touch, the 70D.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

The 7D2 has a bit better IQ. The 7D (and its siblings), then the 70D, and now the 7D2 create a tier of IQ performance, the 70D sits right in the middle. The 7D2 has the lowest shadow noise of any camera, even the 6D, it seems. It also focuses in -3EV as the 6D. The AF system is very similar to the 1DX as well.

It does indeed come down to features and budget in the end.

...The 7D2 has more resolution that helps in this equation as well, ...

I believe the 7DII and 70D have the same resolution but are not the same sensor.

True, I need to correct my prior reply a bit. :)
