Best time of year for photographs at the zoo! No heavy foliage in the way, fewer people so animals are out and cooler weather makes them more active. Here are a couple of snow leopard shots from last week.

.

Nice!
The light is really something special here.

I think #1 would work equally well as a vertical crop. In fact, that might even make for a stronger composition.

I am curious about something - with that chain link fence in the background, and a lens that is razor sharp wide open, why f8 instead of f5.6?

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

The lens was on loan. I did not use it as well as I might have with a bit more familiarity. Using 5.6 would have gotten the ISO down a bit more too. Next time. I guess.

Nice thought but how about square. And it helps with the fence.

Majestic cats. You can see they have their winter costs on. Nicely captured.
