Took many 100s of photos but this is one of the fewwhere the bird is not hidden by reeds. C&C welcome

Thank you- this was taken from a hide (blind) at Slimbridge in the UK - a most obliging bird but as I mentioned 1 out of several 100!!

Good shot.. That's one of my favorite marsh birds.

Usually when they see you, they freeze and point their beaks in the air causing the stripes on their necks to blend in with the reeds. If you get closer, they fly away.
