I agree with you. I've never hit the 16 frame buffer limit on my 70D. The likelihood of hitting 20+ frame on the 1DII with only 1FPS difference is slim. Raw it is! I don't mind. I use LR 5.7 and can easily setup some import processes. I do use my 6D/70D in JPG frequently. When shooting flash or outdoors in daylight, I use JPG. Everything else is raw.
I just got done messing with the Color Matrix stuff, too. I didn't see a bunch of difference there, either. If I had spent this much time setting up my LR Import parameters, I'd be done by now!

For now, I am really enjoying the HANDFUL of camera that is the 1DII.
The beautiful thing is, the full size RAW from these two D's process very quickly, which is super fun being able to transfer the files near instantly, followed up by super fast processing thanks to the size. While still looking totally ace.
