I was thinking to buy a premium version of video editor named Camtasia Studio 8. But I am not so much familiar with its performance, can anyone share their experience on using it? Or can you suggest any good video editing software for windows PC.

What Camtasia does very well is screen capture and adding mouse effects for doing training videos. I use it constantly at work. Then I render it out and send it to Premiere Pro if I need to do ANY other kind of editing. I mean, you can do basic non-linear editing, but it does not hold a candle to things like Premiere Pro.

Blender is a free, open source product. It has a video editing component that is quite robust. Some good tutorials on YouTube too. Costs you nothing to try it.

I discovered Blender as a 3D tool over Christmas and I LOVE it! I didn't even realize it had a built in NLE!

I've used several programs over the years. For my simple work (I no longer do corporate work) I've been using Corel's VideoStudio Ultimate X8.5 (and Pro X7) - it does all I need and more. Not difficult to learn. Coupled with Audacity for selective audio editing gives me a package that does what I need.
