Nice, just came to post this. This is one hell of a deal for folks that don't have a longer EF-S lens; fantastic glass at a super low price.

EXACTLY what I did. I keep a "new user" kit on hand for any time a friend or someone wants to try things out. 40D + 18-55 II and now 55-250 STM.

i jumped on this deal as well... coincidentlly i've just started putting together a lightweight, good light(daytime), travel kit , i just ordered a 10-18, this 55-250 might compliment it well.. at 100 bucks for a lens that gets good reviews by its users i couldnt resist
