Trying out the different processing settings and this one seems not bad?

I decided to try a comparison as close as i could do it? both are the exact same subject a radio mast on a hill about 3 miles away, the first pic was from my 7d/250 STM with IS Off supported on a desk with self timer used, this was after i had set the AFMA correctly in the camera.
The second shot i took today with the FZ72 hand held with the zoom at max optical and the OS sytem enabled(but no doubt still with some motion blur).

They were both processed in LR5 in the same way with identicle amounts of blacks/whites, detail, clarity, de noise and sharpening, the 7d/250 STM Shot was incresed in size to match the size of the mast from the FZ72, as the picture from the FZ72 is the original size file with no cropping.

What do you think - all things being equal?

Pagman.

All things being equal? Are you sure you understand what equal means? One shot taken in mid winter, with cold crisp clean, the other looks mid summer, with loads of heat haze & heated air visibly distorting the second image. Try it on the same day at the same time, & you will have a more meaningful result.

Hi the first one shot in clear winter air was shot on the 15th of this month - this year, and the second one that you say was taken in the summer, was taken yesterday in very cold crisp conditions, the conditions on both were identicle.
