Jan 30, 2016 19:08 | #4 I decided to try a comparison as close as i could do it? both are the exact same subject a radio mast on a hill about 3 miles away, the first pic was from my 7d/250 STM with IS Off supported on a desk with self timer used, this was after i had set the AFMA correctly in the camera. One shot taken in mid winter, with cold crisp clean, the other looks mid summer, with loads of heat haze & heated air visibly distorting the second image. Try it on the same day at the same time, & you will have a more meaningful result.
