Taken yesterday under dark gloomy skies...it was ambling along the road until I got too close then it jumped off to the left out of sight....I whistled and it came back up close for a look at me as I clicked.

Nice shots.I keep looking at them trying to see what is so different about him over the thousands of Coyotes I've seen. All I can come up with is his eyes are squinting making them look wide set and his ears are lower than normal. Think he has had a bad night like a pack of hounds ran him for many hours.
Shooting him with your camera didn't seem to wake him up either.
Unusual angle you caught him in too, like it.
