Sticking with the Cathedral theme right now... these are photos I took back in 2008, when I first got my Canon 40D, some of the first images to come out of that camera and some of my first attempts at post processing in PS as well. This cathedral has been perpetually under construction for centuries, so much so the saying in Cologne is that the world will end the day the cathedral is completed.
Perhaps my favorite shot...
Vaulted
Flying Buttress
Another of my favorites...
Support
Ladders
Spire
White Stone (as it looked when first started in 1248)
Transept Portal Statues
Washed (a shot showing the difference between the original stone & the grime that has collected over the centuries)
As always, C&C is welcome. Looking at one of my favorites, Support, I think I could lighten that up a bit.
I hope you enjoy these.
