I have a strange problem with Lightroom 6 (Windows 10)

It keeps on resetting from the settings I have done, most notably when I open a certain catalog from disk

Has anyone had this problem?

Sorry can you be a bit more specific. What settings are being reset? Are you talking about Program settings, Development defaults, image edits?

Top of the ribbon, you know the Library, Develop, Web thingy, plus other things

Some of the features of that bar are general and others are catalog specific.

Permanent ban

It resets the whole software back to where you first open Lightroom, right back to the beginning
It deletes the File>Open Recent> list catalog name
