The camera has been announced, and specs identified. Now that the camera is about to be released, what will happen is that this thread will go silent, and the new "Post your 1DX2 Images" thread will get traffic, along with the numerous comparison/question threads. There isn't much else to discuss on this thread at this point, if you really want to stick to the title at hand. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Also shipping notices that coincide with the date of your pre-order so that others can determine where they are in the waiting line. And of course, a post that it arrived and maybe a product pic would be great too. That would be a nice way to wind down this thread, especially after spending so much time together over the last few months.

People just need to fill the time until the next major event. Past Equipment | My Personal Gallery

Doesnt matter to me. 250000 is just unbelievable to me especially with the 1Dx2 AF system......how much more at that point is anyone guess......I think on paper the D5 is the better camera still would not get anyone seriously invested to make a change over 1/2-1 stop iso
Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I love how it looks like you can really pull up the shadows without introducing objectionable noise. This is something us Canon users have needed for a long time!

What did you think about the shadow detail that was pulled up behind the leaves in Post #7? I thought it looked great!

MedicineMan4040 The Magic Johnson of Cameras More info | Yeah the pansy shots. Well pulling shadows in jpgs is an art in itself since it's already been 'processed', but eye-balling it, it looks like flickr
