Yes, he most certainly does, and that is a characteristic I have never seen on any other deer.
In fact, there is a lot about this buck that is differs from the norm; the least of which is not his face/head shape.

A very different deer that I wish I could have gotten closer to, in order to conduct a thorough examination of his extraordinary features.
But I was unable to get any closer, and he quickly escaped to the cover of the forest, so I only got to observe/photograph him for about 30 seconds.
Sometimes, nature gives us more questions than it does answers.
