Cheap ring flashes by Vivitar? anyone have experience?

Hi, I see a couple of cheap (under $100) ring flashes at BHPhoto.

One is Vivitar 6000AF TTL Macro Ringlight Flash. The other is a Phoenix brand.

Has anyone ever used one of these? I am considering it for macro/product type shots. I do have a softbox and 380EX (on the way).

Suggestions? Input?
