There seems to have been a spell of these polar stratospheric clouds (nacreous clouds) over the UK for the last few days.
As I was driving home yesterday the colours in the sky were an amazing and surreal experience. With deep purples next to these mother of pearl type clouds. I couldn't stop myself from shooting these clouds even though the wind was very chilly. I did hold on until the point where my hands started to go numb, but so glad I did as these clouds are quite rare at lower latitudes and are usually seen over the polar regions.
The last photo was the first one I had captured on camera and I was surprised how well the Samsung Galaxy S5 camera did, it was a bit noisy but after taking it into Lightroom and cleaning it up it looks pretty decent.
