I've got some Amazon credit to spend and haven't gotten a macro lens yet. Any input or photos that you can share to help me in my choice? I like that the 100L is relatively cheap and autofocuses, and I like that the 90 TS-E can tilt its depth of field to match a flat object at an angle. I work a 9-5 where product photography and video comes into play. And then I shoot weddings on weekends.

The 90mm would be much more useful for product photography if it was my choice. I found I was only using the 100L for ULTRA close details. Do the products you shoot require small, fine details?

with the 100L you would gain an extra 10mm, IS and macro capabilities

with the 90mm you would gain tilt shift

I guess it really depends on what you're shooting.

For weddings, neither would be really useful for me. I was using the 100L for ring shots and that's all. I decided to sell it, buy the Canon extension tube and invest in glass that lends themselves to be used for more of a wedding day. Hope this helps!

I agree with Sourcehill that the 90mm TS-E would be most useful especially for product photography. It focusses down to 0.5m and is pin sharp. It would be great for ring shots if you have adequate time but it does demand care and attention to get things just right. The 100mm is great too (I have both) and is a true macro lens but the 90 TS-E is definitely the winner for product. I even use my 90 for landscape as it's so east to stitch the shifted images.

Here are a couple of images that I think demonstrate how sharp this lens is.
