Not enough good for me to part from my beloved A6000 that I acquired at 1/3 the price of new facelift A6300.
Good camera but I won't upgrade, unless I get what I always wanted on A6000, namely Touch screen of Canon and not Nikon type, better location for SD card for removal (How did the innovative Sony did this mistake of current SD location!), A full articulated LCD and a few more similar tiny but important to me changes that non showed up...

The most attractive thing to me is 4k video. I'm still foaming at the mouth for a nice 4k camera that's affordable, but I love my a6000 for what it is and it's going to be hard to take the hit just for 4k. Will be interesting to watch the reviews come it. It can't hang at $1k IMO. Time will tell I guess, but I won't pull the trigger at that price point.

It sure isn't getting much love in this forum and I admit, that surprises me. I understand that this is, first and foremost, a Canon board, but one would think that a little more love would be shown to the follow-up to arguably the best mirrorless crop camera so far (the a6000).

i'm tempted to preorder .. but at that price. i'm not sure ..

i'm looking for a small video camera , touch screen for video would have been nice , as well as fully articulating screen.. its nice that its weather sealed , definitly a bonus ..ibis probably wouldve convinced me .. i thought maybe that would be a thing for sony now..

I'm definitely picking one up.
The size and capability for a crop can't be beat, especially for travel/portability.
Also, I'm handing down my Canon to my daughter (no complaint there), and I don't have a lot of glass that I have to worry about the switch. I'm going to try to sell my ef-s 17-55 to get some $$$ to help with the cost.

I too am buying one for video use. It should pair nicely with my A7RII. This will be my first wedding season in 6years I have not shot anything with a Canon camera.

This camera is really the best or ideal replacement to my 1D3, if i sold my 1D3 then i can easily buy this camera even at that initial price, but i can always wait to see reviews, but i hope i don't wait so long and not wait longer to sell my Canon, but then i have to cry again to get a native lens so it can have full potential with this camera instead of Canon lenses.

i wonder if it will work much better with adapters like the a7II does with the much improved focus speed with other brand lenses on the adapter. If it does and I can use all my current lenses and keep almost same focus speed and accuracy I would love to get one.

With IBIS- they could have sold it at that price all day long, for months to come. Without it, it's too close in pricing with the A7ii to have much of an impact. It will still sell well- but not until the price drops down to around the $700-750 mark.

For me this price of $1k is not bad, and i buy it from not authorized stores in my country, they sell it even now if it is released with around $800 when it is about $999, say $900 which is still $100 cheaper, and i am sure i won't buy it very quick, i can wait until end of this year or beginning of 2017 then the price will definitely go down more, but in all cases until end of this year i can easily afford it for $1000, but i am worry about the lenses prices first.

I'll be selling my a6k to pick one up. The improved focus tracking is worth it for me.

Really useful information on the video side: microphone jack added, no headphone out, 120p and 4k 30p modes are in 2x(1.5 crop) mode.
