This is a minor issue, because a workaround exists. But, I'll write up a bug report anyways.
ISSUE: Gear in your wish list cannot be added to gear that you own
SEVERITY: 3 (out of 4, 1 being worst, 4 being least)
PRIORITY: 3 (honestly, that's something for you to set)
STEPS TO REPRO:
1. Go to Gear Browser and select any item, such as a lens, here's a direct link to a lens
https://photography-on-the.net/forum/gearindex.php?id=2434
2. Add the gear to your wish list by clicking the wish list button.
3. Refresh the page (note the "GEAR LIST" button is no longer available).
4. Click the "THIS LENS IS IN YOUR WISH LIST" button.
RESULTS:
User cannot add the gear item to their owned list. On the gear's general page (gearindex.php), there is *only* a button to go to the gear in your personal gear list (personalgear.php). In order to mark the gear as owned, the user must first remove it from his/her wish list. In this scenario s/he has to click the button "THIS LENS IS IN YOUR WISHLIST", on the resulting personalgear.php page click the button "REMOVE FROM YOUR WISH LIST", then click the browser's back button *twice* to get back to the gearindex.php page, and click the "GEAR LIST" button to add the gear to their owned list. (More severe alternate scenario in NOTES section.)
EXPECTED:
There should be an easy way to move an item from the wish list to owned on your personal gear page. For instance, in addition to a "REMOVE FROM YOUR WISH LIST" button, add a "MOVE TO OWNED" button (or similar language) on wish list page (personalgear.php?id=2434). The gear would then be removed from the wish list, and added to the "YOUR LENSES", "YOUR CAMERAS" or which ever list is appropriate.
Additionally, it would be nice to have such a button on the general gear page (gearindex.php), but just the one button on the personal gear page is sufficient.
NOTES (Alternate Repro Steps / User Scenario):
The user's experience is even worse if they go directly to their personal gear page, or they are changing several pieces of gear from desired to owned. On the personal gear page the user can click the item links in their wish list and remove items, but then they do not have the ability to click back in their browser to get to the item in the general gear index. The user must load the gear index and browse or search for the item to add it to their owned list. This scenario is more of a hassle and why I have written this up as SEV3 instead of SEV4.
ENVIRONMENT: Windows 10 & Chrome
