uh, before the 10-18 stm came out, this lens was all the talk for EFS...but since then, its lost value...i picked a 10-22 up last week, BNIB, never mounted, for $250 & the guy tossed in a 50 1.8 BNIB...those deals arent the norm, but finding them for <$400 certainly is

Good point. The 10-18 is only 360 Cdn. Maybe the 10-22 is only worth a couple hundred dollars now.

yeah, it sucks...but what can you do? im sure there are people out there that will pay your asking price if not more, guess it depends on the availability in their particular market area

No big deal. We are only talking a couple hundred dollars.

Not going to make or break me.

Heya,

The 10-22 is still desired, don't lose hope, just give it time. The 10-22 has better flare resistance and focal range than the 10-18. The only reason people care about the 10-18 is because it's $300 brand new. If it were the same cost as the 10-22, no one would even consider it except dSLR video folk who crave the IS & STM (which are not needed at all on ultrawide angles except in very niche circumstances). The 10-22 is still an L level lens for APS-C.

I recently sold mine here for $350 shipped (and I only sold it because I use my FF setup more for ultrawide). Sold within a day or two. Sometimes there's a handful of people shopping for one. Sometimes they already bought and you wait a few days or a week or so. You should confidently get $350~380 for a 10-22, box, caps and hood.

To put this in perspective, the 17-40L sells for $400 commonly!

GLWS!

Very best,
