In Cape Coral Florida, I went looking for Burrowing Owls today. Stopped a lady out walking her dog and she said she hasn't seen any all winter! Anyway, I found a few, and actually, more cooperative than in my past experiences.

Hi, Ian. Yesterday when you said "Cape Coral" (was it yesterday?) I knew these had to be coming. :-) Good thing you found them. I may be down that way in another month or two. Hope they are around at that time.
Have a good time!

Thanks Linh. If you know Cape Coral, stick to the SW area, they make their homes there more than other parts of town. Find Chiquita Blvd. and just cruise the side streets on both sides of Chiquita. I checked the area around the library, near Skyline Blvd., but there were none out there at all. This is just my second day here so very happy so far. I haven't ever gotten shots of them up on their perches before.
