i am in big dilema about 50l vs 85l.
I allredy have 35L first version.
I rent 85L and make a few shoot. And acctually i think that bokeh have better caracter at 50L because of focal lenght.
When use 85L at 1.2 bokeh is very flat....dont get me wrong....85L is very sharp, great color, very smooth bokeh, but evrything is so clinical perfect, on the another side on the photos taken with 50L bokeh is smooth but you can see what is blury, you can see very nice blury enviroment of infocus subject.
50L dont have that kind of shrapness like 85, but have good color, contrast, and nice bokeh, and what is most important have more caracter than clinicaly sharp and so much compressed photos with flat background of 85L.
85L have some kind of fashion photo look, 50L have more wedding film look
