It was a guy year for me and I had a lot of fun working with this particular one. I find that most of the guys are just OK with doing these sessions (more for mom, LOL), but I like the challenge of helping them to relax and pose. I'm still learning, but feel pretty good about how much I've learned and the results. Happily, this guy's parents were happy, too. Here is Gabe, Class of '16 (student in Vermont.)

1.) This one made a nice shot for a personalized stamp.

4.) He smiles!

5.) I like to thrown an environmental shot in when I can. He wanted a down-town look and this is as "urban" as our small town gets.

10.) My favorite

11.) Cool in black-and-white.

12.) He wanted one with his car. It was our last photo and getting quite dark. Not loving the location, but do love the light and color here.

Wow, man........a senior in high school and he's driving an A4. Heck, I was driving my dad's '64 Falcon when I was a senior. And that was only when he'd allow me. Maybe if I got better grades.....

You always do nice work, Kristin

Yes, he's doing pretty well, I think. ;) And thank you!

Thanks, redrocket. I think my processing (like most) evolves slowly over time, but I didn't knowingly do anything different. The light always affects the colors, of course, and we had great light here. The surrounding tones also affect the outcome (not much backlight, a lot of richer color with the brick, his clothes, etc.) Thanks so much for the feedback -- we only had a short amount of time and he wanted an urban theme in a not-so-urban small town, so happy with the results. :)
