I got hired to do a wedding in September with a couple that lives in my neighborhood. These guys are badass - both are hardcore car kids. We did their engagement session Saturday afternoon and she wanted to incorporate her M3 into lots of the shots. Here's a few teasers from their session. 5D + 135L and 24-105L

Really cute and great job incorporating their interest.

The first one has my biggest posing pet peeve but everyone does it so I guess I need to start getting over it. Haha

I think girlying up the pose in the 5th one would have been good. Maybe have her left the heel of the food closeest to camera.

The first one has a great film look to the post prossessing. I really dig it. (Share photoshot settings?)

Thanks for the feedback! I first got into photography with cars and motorsports, so it was really fun incorporating both into one shoot.

Yeah I could see that. These two were a little stiff in front of the camera and this was one of our first locations. They loosened up a bit as time went on, but it was cold, she was cold, etc. Haha. I just stuck to some easy poses and went from there. But posing is a huge weakness for me....

You are right. We did do that in a later shot - same composition, but weight was on the back foot, knee bent on the one closest to the camera.

Thanks! They all have the same preset base - it's a VSCO Kodak 100 that's tweaked a little bit (mostly exposure and highlights) from shot to shot. The first is probably the brightest as I wanted to focus on them and give a lighter, airy feel even though it was a cloudy day. The rest are a little darker and "automotive".

All good suggestions! These are a few that I picked out and edited for teasers for them, main editing is going on this week.

The first pose itself dosnt bother me its the minor point of when using this pose the female always puts her arms around the guy's neck which cuts off his head. I always have her drop her hand to the guy's shoulder. Like I said its such a minor point it just bugs me. I maybe would have had her drop her shoulder also or shot higher up so her face doesnt get cut off

Yeah, good call. I liked this one since it was actually a more genuine expression after I shot them from the side kissing. She kind of twisted around him a bit and I could see more of her face. I know what you mean tho.
