You should be able to copy any files and put them anywhere you want. Canon R6, Canon 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM, Canon Ef 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L, IS II USM, Canon Nifty Fifty

Apr 02, 2016 13:36 | #50 leadwiper wrote in post #17942242 Okay, I did find out you CAN use Wi-Fi to transfer your pictures from your T6s/T6i to your computer. Press: Menu>wench1>Wi-Fi/NFC choose "enable" Go back to the menu, select "Wi-Fi Function Select the monitor picture, "View images on DLNA devices" You are given 3 options, Choose "find network", OK is then highlighted, select it. Your camera then looks for wireless networks, and produces a list. Select your network, and hit "ok". At this point, it asks me how I want to enter my network password: 1. Enter 8-63 ASCII charactors 2. Enter 64 hexadecimal char. I guess if you have chosen a different level of security for your wireless network, things will be different. You are presented with a mini keyboard, enter your password, select "ok" The next page is "ip address set", I select "auto" After a few seconds of "busy" being displayed, you get the "Connection" screen. That's it, you're connected to your network. Two options are listed: 1. Disconnect, exit --select when your done 2. Confirm set. --select gives you access to 4 pages of your network connection settings. Put the camera down, go to your computer. (I have windows 10, if your OS is different, let us know how you do, sorry) 1. select window (start) button>"file explorer" 2. select "this Pc" from the list. Under "network locations" I have a a black, square icon, with the letters "EOS" Labeled, "Canon EOS Rebel T6s" Double click the EOS icon and then "SD folder">> "100 canon" >>(numbered picture folders. That's it, your pictures. Once you setup your connection you can choose it again without entering all the info over again. Good luck! Scott

I'm sorry to hear this, have you tested the password you are using on other devices to hook up to your wireless network? Anybody else have any ideas? Apr 04, 2016 10:27 | #55 dan220 wrote in post #17960217 Went over the password countless times. A PC, two tablets, and three phones all working and tested on the same router. Even used a friends phone and it connected just fine. So I don't know what the issue is. It could be the encryption method. Some devices won't play well with wpa2 or better. WEP or WPA seem to be more compatible. >>> Pictures? What pictures? <<<<

mwsilver Goldmember More info | Apr 10, 2016 11:02 | #57 Frodge wrote in post #17895526 The rebel line is the redheaded stepchild of the forum. It's the beginners camera, the poor mans camera the one you get if you're just starting out. That's the way they are dubbed. I've used higher end bodies than what I currently own, and yeah, they're nice. But many people don't talk about the rebel line because it's like having a huffy rather than the campagnolo. They're good bodies, to some desirable because of the small size. The t6s with the rear wheel makes it a very capable body that can do a lot out in the field. I think many people go right to the 70d because the price structure is close enough. Nothing wrong with a rebel. Believe me. I like your bicycle comparison Mark

Snydremark my very own Lightrules moment More info | Apr 26, 2016 22:33 | #60 Between the two, I'd definitely go with the 's'. Above and beyond things like more AF points/better AF point coverage in the viewfinder, dual control dials is one of the things that have made the higher levels of body so much more usable over the years and the top panel is really a must for more quickly adjusting settings out in the field. So, getting both of those would be worth a little extra. I don't really think Servo focus in Live View isn't really a selling point as anything moving is frequently moving quickly enough that the speed of LV AF makes it pointless to try to follow. - Eric S.: My Birds/Wildlife
