Vita in Vinyl - two looks in my home studio

Produced and shot these with the intent of submitting to a magazine, February's theme was "Red."
This is in my living room with all the furniture pushed out of the way.

Light is a single Elinchrom D-Lite it 2, with the 22" softbox and front diffuser. 5D3 with 70-200 f/4L IS.

All good but the first series is top notch.

+1 for the starters.
Wonderful work all round, including the MUA input.
Lighting is V Difficult with this material, but you have used it to great effect with the reflections.

These are super cool! Really love it!

Quite a nice set! I'm surprised there was so little light fall-off with just a 22" softbox.

The light was pretty far away from the subject, so the light-to-subject distance isn't that different from head to toe.

And I had a LOT of bounce/spill/fill from the ceiling and floor. The top of the little softbox was right against the white 10' ceiling, and the floor is reflective tileboard which bounced a lot back up.

Nice. What did you use for the flooring? Is it a vinyl??

The floor is two sheets of inexpensive white tileboard from the hardware store. Pretty much the Zack Arias method, only I'm not blowing it out to white all the time.

If you overlap them so the near-to-camera sheet is on top of the back sheet, the seam becomes pretty much invisible, especially if you shoot from a low angle or far away.

Ah thanks. I've been looking into that but I just don't have any place to store it. I only rent my studio and move my gear in and out.
