Here are three of my favourite macros last year

If you would pick two for a macro comp, which two?

A difficult choice, I love jumping spiders, all shots are lovely, but for a competition I would use the fly eyes. A lot of people seem to like the more detailed shots, and that looks pretty good to me.

I would go with the winged creatures, mostly because I loathe spiders, but they are all lovely, especially the third.

No. 3 for me. I love the eyes, and how the critter takes up the whole frame.

My personal preference would be the first two, but a comp they eyes close-up may be better. If you can enter two I would go with the jumper and the eyes.

The first two.

My favourite is the 2nd one. Well lit, good composition and sharp.
