Hi all,

I currently have the Ranger RX/AS Speed with 2 ea "A" heads. On the Elinchrom website, they mention the "S" head is optimized for the transmitter combo.

So... my question ... if you own the new transmitter and an "A" head, what's the max sync speed you have been able to achieve before you see the shutter creeping in? And.. if you are shooting with the "S" head... how is it preforming sync speed wise?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hatch

Just got the Ranger RX AS Speed today with S head. Works great out to 1/8000. Skyport HS set to normal, not speed mode.

Thank you very much for the information. This is what I was hoping for.... now time to find an "S" head.

Anyone need and "A" head? I have a couple of them :)

Thanks again,
Hatch

There was a huge deal from Adorama. Don't know it's still on. Ranger RX AS Speed and free S Head. $999. Was back ordered for a month and a half. Might be the cheaper way to go.

I'm in AZ too.
