Who has one of those mobile printers that have a battery and you can print pics from your phone? My wife wants one that works with her iPhone 6. The only ones we have seen look like they need internet to get setup and print over wifi but we do not have home internet, we just use our phones because it is cheaper. If the printer is just a one time setup over the internet and can then talk to the phone via an app then I'm sure she would be more than happy to get it. We just can't have something that needs constant internet to work. Does anyone have any recommendations for us? Please and thanks!

Oh and I didn't see a printer related section, maybe I have it hidden because I never thought I would be looking there.... Any way, mods please move this is needed.

Is this the kind of thing you are looking for?

I have also seen one of those Crowd funded projects which is much slimmer than this one but I can't find it now.

She was thinking something that can print regular 8.5x11 paper, 8x10 photo paper and 4x6 photo paper. Something like this with a battery. The problem is these seem to require internet to work. She wants Bluetooth.

The first one, the WF-100 has wifi direct which I believe is where the printer can create its only wireless hotspot and connect directly to your phone for print, thus not needing a router or any connection to your home or other freely available wifi.

Epson is making home printing easier than ever, as it launches its new range of Small-in-One home printers with Wi-Fi Direct™. Ideal for printing family photos and household documents, these printers[1] allow home users to print directly from Wi-Fi-enabled devices without the need for a wireless router.

Simon Hanly, product manager, Epson UK, says: “More users than ever before are using mobile devices, so we’re always looking at ways we can offer greater printing flexibility. In addition to Wi-Fi, Epson Connect and Google Cloud Print, we now have Wi-Fi Direct which allows users to print directly from their smartphone, tablet PC or wireless laptop directly to their printer - no router needed, no hassle.”

Hmmm, I showed her the printer. She seems to like it. Good call, thanks.
