They are requiring it and I don't want the studio to feel like I'm ripping them off on the images either which is why I was at least going to post credit to them.

I would then try and word it as "Photography by (you) at a xxxx photography event"

Or

("Photograph by (you) in conjuction with xxxx photography"

Or something like that, make it clear YOU took the picture, otherwise it does no good for your portfolio.

I let them post whatever they want, they just need to wait until I've posted them myself. I like to use quality second shooters, and there aren't many quality second shooters who will shoot without being able to use their images at some point. Also, I like to treat people well.

My terms for my second shooter are simple. They may use the image they took after 90 days from the event. They may not use the images in such a manner as to gain profit, other than promotion of their service on their own web sites. If they use it on social media I am OK with that so long as it is mentioned they took it while working for me.

Dependent on the client, their contract with me may require no other publications from my second as a matter of privacy. I did an Indian wedding last year that the bride did not want her images displayed on other photographers sites. In that case, my contract with the second reinforced that. I do however pay the second more in these situations as using the images is in my opinion a part of their compensation.

the rights of the Images taken by my second are also retained by me, and it is clearly indicated in our contract. So, if there is an issue I can ask them to take it down for any reason at any time. There never has been to date.

When I work as a second, it is usually under similar conditions.

Why don't you take a picture, it will last longer....

Gear List: Got lots of good stuff of my own, and I use Borrow Lens.com for the rest.
