Very interesting. 99.999% of the times that I mis-typed something, it is because I inadvertently struck a key that is adjacent to the key I intended to strike. On a standard keypad, "G" is not adjacent to "C", which leaves me wondering how this error might have happened.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Someone whose predominant sense is vision might switch C for G because they look similar. A person might also be thinking ahead to the G in the word and hit the G key prematurely. These are only suggested explanations. What really happened, Cod only knows.

Also people that haven't learned or been trained properly on touch typing tend to have a hover habit, when they do this their placement can be incorrect when fingers strike down on keyboards and that can cause random letters that are just slightly off the desired letter to be struck. (I taught keyboarding to middle schoolers for a few years and noticed the many ways that odd mistakes of this variety could occur.)
