I bought this in Taiwan, new, a couple of years ago. I used to use it quite a bit, but it weighs about 20 pounds and I stopped taking it out (actually, I pretty much stopped shooting). The body and glass are flawless. Have the box, hood, bag, ring and some papers that came with it. The red line on the box is partially faded because I keep it on a shelf in my study by a big window--apparently it doesn't like sunlight.
I took off the original cap and replaced it with a pinch-type (which I prefer BY FAR). I'm not sure if I can find the original.

I put a filter on the lens and never took it off til I took these pictures.

Shipping from: Taiwan

Ships to: Worldwide, but will prefer Asian and US customers for shipping/insurance reasons.

Payment Method: Paypal

I will pay paypal fee and shipping (with tracking and insurance)

Price: $1565 Reduced to $1525 (Don't offer lower, please -- It was $2400 when I got it, when the Yen was WAY high)

Trades: My local shop has a 70-200L F4 Non-IS for $425. I intend to get it. If you want to offer me one for less, we can talk

PM me or Email to awalzem@gmail.com

I bought and sold a LOT here in the old days. If the ratings thread is still there, you can look me up. Otherwise check awalzem on Ebay.

Hope this serves as a bump (though it's not like you need one), but why exactly did you stop shooting? I very much enjoy your Flickr photostream and am hoping to see more.

THanks:-)
I just shot everything where I live! When I travel I shoot like crazy, but I am just burnt out on my city (my house, my family, my neighborhood, the local parks...).
I also became crazy about classical music. It seems I tend to be nuts about one thing at a time... the last 2-3 years I've spent all my discretionary money on CDs and speakers.

:lol::lol:

Sorry, chief. I have the Tamron 24-70 F2.8 I'm very happy with that!

BTW, I went to pick up the F4 70-200 from my shop, and it had already sold. So, I am interested in trading for one of those...

DUDE! I woulda bought this if I hadn't just bought another from someone else!

This is a GREAT deal people!

Don't let the Taiwan thing bother you, seller is US citizen and lens will ship US Post or UPS/FedEx (correct me if I am wrong sir).

Someone buy this awesome lens from a great seller! This price is killer!

Hey Brules! Long time no lens exchanges:-) How are things going?

Thanks for the bump. Actually, I am probably close to selling this one to someone I have been PMing with. I'm not having second thoughts, exactly, but am a bit sad about letting it go....

Actually, the guy interested in this asked me to send him a receipt first...and then never contacted me again. In other words, still available.

Sorry, Ted. I'd be more interested in, say, a beat up F4 no-IS plus $1200--that type of thing.
