I recently stumbled into an Olympus BCL-1580 lens. This a a 15mm, fixed f8 aperture job that Olympus refers to as a "body cap lens". I get the impression this lens was designed specifically for Olympus and possibly Panasonic 4/3 models. Had thoughts of possibly getting a cheap adapter of some sort and using it on my canon 60D, but not sure that such an adapter exists. Is the Olympus Micro 4/3 mount different than the OM mount?

I've seen plenty of adapters for OM lenses to Canon EF bodies but I don't see OM marked anywhere on this lens or its packaging or instruction sheet. The back cap of the lens has the word "Micro" and the Micro logo. And I suspect that the image from this lens may be too small for the APS-C sensor in my Canon. If I'm just wasting my time here I'll probably try to flip the lens here in the classified section.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Thank you, Pekka! I'm sure some members here might have imagined that POTN might begin winding down. But that doesn't make the news any less disappointing. So generous of you to allow us to go along for the ride. As a result you gave us a way to help each other become better photographers. But there's still so much more to learn.

Well it wouldn't be the first time. :p Guess I'll get a couple shots of it and list in the Marketplace section. Thanks!
